It is my favorite time of year – Christmas time! And we are kicking off the season with a super fun party appetizer. It is a Christmas Bruschetta Wreath! Toasted bread is layered with dairy-free cheese spread, marinated tomatoes and balsamic glaze. This is a super festive holiday appetizer, that is actually totally easy to make! You’ve got to try it!

A baking sheet and a mixing bowl is all you need!

steps
step 1: marinate the tomatoes
The reality is that you can easily make this an even faster recipe and just buy some pre-made tomato bruschetta spread and skip this step. And Trader Joe’s sells a really tasty one!

But, I think that making the marinated tomatoes yourself takes this dish to the next level. Cherry tomatoes are tossed with shallots, garlic, fresh basil, salt, pepper & oil. It is a super tasty combo!
Just pop them in the fridge for 20 minutes, and when they come out you have the tastiest tomatoes on your hand!

step 2: assemble
While the tomatoes are marinating, slice up your baguette, place the bread slices on a baking sheet, drizzle with oil and bake until toasted.

To assemble, spread some of the dairy-free Boursin onto each slice and place them in a circle on a platter. Once they are all smothered in cheese, you can top them off with the marinated tomatoes, a drizzle of balsamic glaze and some more fresh basil.
This appetizer is great because everything can be prepped ahead of time and then assembled right before serving. You can also fully assemble, cover and pop in the fridge until ready to serve – just know that the bread won’t be as toasted.

tips & tricks
If you can’t find dairy-free Boursin you can use vegan cream cheese or my tofu ricotta recipe!
Balsamic glaze is different than balsamic vinegar. It has thicker consistency. Be sure to grab the right one!
