This Vegan Roasted Cauliflower Buffalo Pizza is the perfect balance of spiciness and creaminess with a nice crunch from the cauliflower.
Why I love this Vegan Roasted Cauliflower Buffalo Pizza
If you follow me on instagram, then you know I am all about "Pizza Friday". It is something I look forward to every week. And I may or may not celebrate pizza Sunday, Tuesday or Thursday on occasion.
In order to round out the week, I thought we should celebrate Pizza Monday too. Yes, I know Mondays are all about starting fresh with lots of greens, but sometimes a pizza is just the ticket to kick off the week.
And this pizza has cauliflower - so its basically like eating a salad.
How to make Vegan Roasted Cauliflower Buffalo Pizza
Cauliflower is marinated before it takes a roast in the oven to crisp up and cook through.
Then it is sauced up with spicy buffalo sauce - you can find my favorite here. Most buffalo sauce is vegan, but always be sure to check the ingredients.
Top everything off with red onions, vegan ranch, green onions and cilantro and you have a super tasty pizza that vegans and non-vegans will love!

Vegan Roasted Cauliflower Buffalo Pizza
Ingredients
- 16 oz pre-made pizza dough
- ½ head cauliflower cut in bite sized pieces
- 4 teaspoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- ¾ cup buffalo sauce separated
- pepper to taste
- ¼ red onion sliced
- ¼ cup vegan ranch
- 2 green onions diced
- 2 tablespoon cilantro diced
Instructions
- One hour before you want to cook the pizza, place the dough on a flour-dusted countertop.
- While dough is coming to room temperature, preheat oven to 425 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl combine cauliflower, olive oil, garlic powder, chili powder, pepper and ¼ cup of buffalo sauce. Stir to combine. Spread evenly on baking sheet and cook for 20 minutes, flipping halfway. Remove from oven and increase oven heat to 475 degrees. Place cauliflower back in the bowl. Add remaining buffalo sauce and stir to combine.
- Spray a 16" round baking sheet (or baking sheet of choice) with non-stick spray. Place dough on the sheet and stretch to desired shape. Top dough with buffalo/cauliflower mixture and spread evenly. Top with red onion and place in the oven for 12-17 minutes, or until crust is brown and crispy.
- Remove from the oven and top with vegan ranch, green onion and cilantro. Slice, serve and enjoy!

Delicious. I subbed some smoked paprika for some of the chili powder. I was a little worried to serve a vegan pizza to my family but they gobbled it up.

A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! Been trying to go vegan , slowly getting there and I thought it would be hard to find a vegan pizza that I absolutely loved or craved. I have to say this recipe is beyond my expectations! My boyfriend loved it too, did it 2 times this week because we craved it too much lol! Thank you for this recipe, will definitely recommend it to everybody!
Rene
Woo - so glad you both liked it!!! This is one of my faves too!

I'm not a huge buffalo fan, but your pictures looked to good I had to try! It was a fun change from the usual recipes and I enjoyed it. I'm thinking of subbing the buffalo for bbq sauce sometime. What do you think?

Made this recipe for the Super Bowl and everyone (vegans and non-vegans) LOVED it. I love how it doesn't require many ingredients (or a true pizza sauce/cheese). It was unique and flavorful and we will make it again and again 🙂

So glad you liked it! This is one of my favorites to share with my non-vegan friends too 🙂

Nice way to include veggies that kids usually do not like.
Nice recipe.

Awesome recipe! I added crushed pineapple for some sweet heat (HIGHLY recommend even if you're a pineapple-on-pizza hater) and a sprinkle of go veggie mozzarella cheese. Absolutely delicious!!

Vegan roasted cauliflower buffalo Pizza... It's what's for dinner tonight! I subbed carrots for the peppers and I drizzled a little bit of agave over-the-top but it was really good!#THISSAVORYVEGAN @THISSAVORYVEGAN

OMG. I've been vegan for 3 years, and I thought I didn't like cauliflower until now. I made this on a whim tonight, and seriously, it is the only thing I want to eat from now on. The cilantro adds so much flavor, and the spice level is absolutely perfect. This made my night and sparked a new love of cauliflower. Hands down, best recipe ever. Thank you so much!!!
Rene
So glad you liked this and I TOTALLY feel you on the cauliflower thing. For a long time I didn't think I liked it either. But with the right flavors and cooked well, it really is amazing! Happy to hear you've been converted to the cauliflower lovers club 🙂

I find it surprising that you would have affiliate links that contain unhealthy products such as the mayonnaise you suggest which contains EDTA. https://www.webmd.com/vitamins/ai/ingredientmono-1032/edta it you would like to read more about it. I like your recipes but I think you should research the products you recommend. Just a thought.

Hi Kristen - thanks for the feedback. I believe in balance, so not every recipe or ingredient is 100% "whole" or "healthy". We all gotta try our best, and on occasion I enjoy some vegan mayo, or vegan ranch, or vegan cream cheese. None of which are "healthy", but they taste darn good. Lol. That's just me, but feel free to omit or swap any ingredients you don't wish to have.

Thank you for sharing this! I’ve been vegan for about 2 months and it was the best life style change! This pizza is amazing and will be one for the books for sure!! I did use pizza sauce on half of it. I made homemade ranch dressing! It is amazing in so many ways! Can’t wait to make some more of your recipes!

This is awesome! I added some black beans for protein
Rene
Black beans - that's a good add! Then again, I think I could eat beans at pretty much every meal 🙂 So glad you liked it!

Would it be any different if I used frozen cauliflower?
Rene
If you use frozen I would thaw and dry off with paper towels before roasting 😉
