This Roasted Red Pepper Pesto Pizza is a delicious and easy vegan pizza recipe! Fresh, bright flavors on a crispy pizza crust!

This Roasted Red Pepper Pesto Pizza is a quick and easy at home vegan pizza recipe. There are less than 10 ingredients, but so much flavor going on. Vegan pesto, gooey dairy-free cheese, roasted red peppers, shallots and some Calabrian chili paste (if you like spice). Finished off with fresh basil on a crispy crust, for the best bite ever!
Step One: Prep the Dough
The first step is to prep the dough. And since we are using pre-made dough, this step is actually pretty easy.

You want to let the dough come to room temperature – this will make it easy to stretch when we make the pizza.
The other key to this recipe is having a HOT oven. So, while the dough is resting, you’ll also want to crank up the oven.
Step Two: Assemble
Next you want to stretch out the dough on a greased baking sheet. I used a round pizza baking sheet, but a good ol’ cookie sheet does the trick too.
Stretch the dough to your desired shape and lay on the greased baking sheet. Add a nice layer of pesto followed by the vegan mozzarella, roasted red peppers, shallots and Calabrian chili paste.

Step Three: Bake & Serve
Put the pizza in the oven for 15-20 minutes. You’ll know it’s done when the crust is crispy and the cheese is melty.

Pull the pizza out of the oven and cut it into slices. Top with fresh basil and dig in. This pizza has the best flavors – the freshness of the pesto, mixed with the roasted red peppers is the perfect combo.
Reheat the leftovers in the air fryer to get that crispy crust again!

Tips & Tricks
Using pre-made ingredients for this pizza recipe is what keeps this recipe simple. But if you have the extra time, you can definitely make the dough, pesto & roasted red peppers from scratch.
For a crispier topping, turn the oven to broil for the last few minutes of baking.

Notes
- I used a roasted red pepper from a jar – the jars I buy usually come with 2 peppers, so just save the other one for a different recipe.
- You can make the pesto from scratch, or buy it pre-made. I got mine at Trader Joe’s.
- For a crispier topping, turn the oven to broil for the last couple minutes of baking.
