Let’s talk Spicy Chipotle Tahini Sauce
Last week I shared a picture of my dinner and it had you all asking…”where can I get that chipotle sauce recipe?”
Well, ask and you shall receive. Today I am sharing this super simple, super creamy Spicy Chipotle Tahini Sauce. With just a few ingredients, a blender and 5 minutes you will have this tasty sauce ready to go.
Now you may be wondering, “Rene, didn’t you share a chipotle sauce recipe not that long ago?”.
And the answer to that is, I sure did. You can find the recipe here.
I still stand by that recipe, but it is also a totally different flavor palate. So if chipotle sauce is your thing, you may want to try out both recipes to compare.

How to make Spicy Chipotle Tahini Sauce
The great thing about this recipe is that it requires just 6 ingredients. One of them being my creamy dressing must-have…tahini. Tahini gives dressings a creaminess that is different than what you get from using vegan mayo. It is rich in texture without having an overwhelming flavor. Making it adaptable to any flavor you are trying to achieve.
To manage the amount of spice this dressing has, start with less chipotles then add as you go. You know my spice-loving ass did the maximum amount, but I know not all of you like having your tastebuds burned off at every meal, so make it to your liking.
Now, what do you eat this with? EVERYTHING! It is amazing drizzled on top of tacos, burrito bowls or even salads. Make a batch and store it in the fridge to add to meals all week.
And be sure to check back tomorrow when I share my new favorite way to use this sauce…let’s just say fries are involved. UPDATE: Get the recipe here.

My go-to dressing. I often add chillipowder… or even smoked paprika. I love the tanginess. I have used it on baked veggies (especially potatirs) and it works there too. Thanks for the recipe!
Thanks so much! Love the addition of extra seasonings!
I give this initially a 3 star rating because I found that the ingredients were too dry for my high powered blender to work and needed a little bit of doctoring for more flavour dimensions. I added water but felt if I added much more, it would be much too thinned out so I added extra virgin olive oil in addition to water. I think an estimate of about how much water you add for the amount could be helpful. I also felt the ACV was such a strong tang, I wasn’t crazy about it without some additional flavours so I added a fresh garlic clove, more salt, a fresh birds eye chilli, juice from a whole lime, and more salt. With those tweaks, although the ACV was still very strong, the additional ingredients rounded out the flavour a bit more and tasted delicious on top of my black bean burrito. I wouldn’t want it on a rice bowl or to use as a dip for fries as the recipe written as is had too much tang for me without enough flavour interest.
Love your site and the recipes you share…one small gripe though, you need to fix the link to your videos:
