Take a look into my April 2022 Favorites – including my favorite home, kitchen, vegan beauty, and fashion items. Basically a bit of everything.
Home
If you follow me on Instagram, then you know my couch is constantly getting a pillow makeover – I blame it on the dogs for destroying my pillow covers. My most recent color combo are these velvet brown and green covers. I’m totally loving them, and they are holding up to dog hair very well. Thinking I may need a pop of pink though.
I also picked up this super cozy blanket. It is so soft – and so far I have been able to keep it just for myself. The dogs haven’t discovered it yet.
Kitchen
I added a few things to my kitchen this month – I felt like I needed some fresh things for Spring. I absolutely LOVE these flower shaped plates. They come in a few fun colors. I also got a couple of matching bowls. I’m sure they will be making plenty of appearances in upcoming recipe shoots!
And I know I’m a million years behind on this, but I finally bought one of these scrapers. Just to transfer chopped veggies from the cutting board to the stove. Best $10 I’ve spent in a long time!
And since it is Spring and I had warm weather on the brain. I also picked up this big salad bowl. Something about it just makes me want to make more salads.
I am also a huge Nespresso fan! They recently released their seasonal coconut pods which are my fave! I have had my Nespresso machine for over 6 years and it is still going strong.
TSV Recipes
My favorite things to eat in the Spring/Summer are potato and pasta salads. They are both something I make on repeat. I love them because you can make a big batch and have them on hand in the fridge for a few days.
If you haven’t tried my Southwest Pasta Salad, I would start with that one. I always make it for friends and it ALWAYS gets rave reviews. Fresh veggies, browned soyrizo and a super delicious dressing. It is seriously so good!
If mayo isn’t your thing, then you need to try my No-Mayo Potato Salad. It has plenty of bright, fresh herbs. A lighter take on a classic.
And if you want to go super classic – try out my Macaroni Salad. It has a good amount of crunch, a lighter dressing and so much flavor.
Books
I feel like when it comes to reading, I haven’t been the most consistent. But, I’m back on track and have been on a reading binge. Here’s what I have on my coffee table right now:
