Vegan Hot Dogs 3 Ways
Vegan Hot Dogs 3 Ways – whether you like your hot dog with vegan mac & cheese, spicy relish & avocado, or sriracha mayo, there’s a dog for you.
It is officially BBQ season. And just because you’re vegan doesn’t mean you have to miss out on the tasty food.
Vegan hot dogs are a real thing – and I’m not talking about those weird ones made out of carrots. I got mine at Trader Joe’s, but I have seen them at my local store and even Target. They are usually in the “vegan/vegetarian” refrigerated section.
I like to cook my dogs on the grill. And once they’re cooked…bring on all of the toppings.
It is totally ok to keep it simple and use ketchup & mustard. That’s my normal go-to. But sometimes it is fun to switch it up and do really fun and crazy toppings.
And that is what we’re doing today.
Now, just because these dogs are a little whacky, it doesn’t mean the ingredients are going to be hard to find.
I got most of my toppings from Thrive Market. If you haven’t heard of Thrive – it is an online grocery store that sells organic food for 25-50% less than the regular store. PLUS it is delivered to you. Talk about easy peasy. I order from them all the time and am totally obsessed.
If you want to try out Thrive, they are giving my readers a free month membership and an additional 25% off your first order. Guys, believe me, you’re going to love them. All you have to do is follow this link and start ordering – no promo code needed!
Now back to the dogs. Each of these dogs has a totally different flavor and are absolutely delicious.
First off is the mac and cheese dog. Oh ya, mac on a dog. I used a box mac, but you could make your favorite homemade version (like maybe my recipe). Then I topped it off with hot sauce and bread crumbs. It might sound weird, but believe me, this combo is out of this world.
The next dog is the kimchi dog. It includes sriracha mayo, pre-made kimchi and green onion. It is the perfect amount of spice and tang. Think the Korean version of sauerkraut on your dog.
The last dog was right up my alley. Mustard, spicy relish, avocado and cilantro. It’s basically all of my favorite things on top of a dog. It doesn’t get much better than that.
I hope this gives you lots of good inspo for the upcoming BBQ season. And don’t forget to check out Thrive and get your discount!!!

Don’t hate on carrot dogs! If done right, they are super delicious and you could even do your own version of them for your blog.
Tried the spicy relish & avocado, With a generous helping of cilantro. Thank you so much for the inspiration.
Woo! I’m glad you liked it. I think that one was my favorite too – any reason to eat more avocado and cilantro 🙂
