Whether you are looking to learn more about vegan food or are already vegan and just need more inspo, this 2019 Veganuary Challenge is for you.
Welcome to the TSV 2019 Veganuary Challenge!
First things first, let’s talk about what “Veganuary” is.
There is an official Veganuary charity that you can check out here. But since it’s launch in 2014, the term “Veganuary” has spread and become more of a movement where people try out a vegan diet for the month of January.
January is a month for new beginnings, hence the perfect time for people to explore a new lifestyle.
So why am I (someone who is already vegan), encouraging this month-long challenge? To spread the vegan word of course. This is the perfect time of year to show people that eating vegan is not only totally delicious but is easy too! Even if you are already vegan, TSV is going to be your go-to place for inspo this month BECAUSE…
I WILL BE POSTING 6Â NEW RECIPES EVERY WEEK FOR THE ENTIRE MONTH!
Yep, you heard that right. Monday through Saturday you will be getting a brand new recipe each day. And don’t worry, you will still be getting your weekly dinner plan every Sunday too.
I want to kick off 2019 with a BANG! And what better way to do that then with a TON of vegan food? We will have buddha bowls, pizzas, pastas, salads. I’m not leaving anything out, so get excited! P.S. You’re getting a sneak peak of what is to come in the photos above.
So, what do you need to do to participate in this challenge?
- Eat vegan food every day for the entire month of January – if you’re already vegan, then easy-peasy.
- Sign up to be on the TSV email list here. You will be notified every time there is a new recipe or dinner plan available (aka every day this month).
- Make sure to take pictures of everything you make from TSV and tag your photos with #TSVveganuary2019 and #thissavoryvegan – that way I can see all of your beautiful creations and share them on my Instagram Stories.
And that’s it. This is more of a vegan celebration than an actual challenge, but we like to keep things light and airy here at TSV.
Can’t wait to see all of your food photos and see you all spread the vegan love!
Just discovered your site and can’t wait to try the recipes. Will you be doing this again for 2020?
I have something else planned for 2020 😉 Lots of new recipes – be on the lookout next month for the announcement!
I am attempting going vegan, but I don’t want to be wasteful with the products that I already have, so as I consume them I will be replenishing them with vegan alternatives. I’m excited to try out new recipes. I honestly believe not going in with a plan on what to eat ahead of time really sets you up for failure if you are not used to eating 100% vegan. I’m excited on this new challenge not just for the month but forever.
That sounds like an awesome plan Ana! I totally agree on not being wasteful. Use up what you have, then make the swaps. And my dinner plans are a super helpful way to kick-off eating vegan. You have all of your dinners planned out for the week, and a grocery list – no need to stress or overthink it. So excited for you!
Never done vegitarian or vegan, i thought i would give it a try! Been feeling sluggish and tired so i hope this helps.
my daughter is vegan. I am vegetarian. I will be taking the challenge. I am excited to see the recipes. Any advice for coffee creamer. Half and Half will be my biggest challenge.
That’s an easy one 🙂 You can get almond, soy or coconut coffee creamers at just about any store. Even Target carries a ton of brands. I personally like So Delicious or Trader Joe’s non-dairy creamers!
thank you. I am very excited about starting
Trader Joe’s soy creamer is the creamiest. I was once a heavy cream addict. Their soy creamer killed that urge.
thank you so much. I will have to give it a try.
Silk Almond Milk Creamer Vanilla is totally awesome!
Going full on vegan from full on eat everything. My main reason is for the health benefits but environment and animal welfare in there too.
Excited to start on January 1st… just got to finish off the Christmas cheese first!
That’s awesome Lesley – making a total change to your diet doesn’t have to happen overnight, but January is the perfect time to go full force. I can’t wait to hear how your journey goes!
I make many of your recipes. I’m not on any social media so can’t # any pics. Sorry
That’s totally ok – I just love seeing everyone’s creations 🙂
I’m excited to give Veganuary a shot! My diet is about 85-90% vegan, so going 100% vegan for a month shouldn’t be too difficult. I hope I can keep it up for good after 🙂
Yay! So excited for you. You will definitely have lots of inspo to keep you motivated!
