These Vegan Air Fryer Biscuit Bites 3 Ways are the perfect vegan appetizer - recipe includes buffalo chicken, spinach artichoke and jalapeño popper!
Course Appetizer, Snack
Cuisine American
Keyword air fryer, biscuits
Prep Time 15 minutes
Cook Time 7 minutes
Total Time 22 minutes
Servings 12 bites

Ingredients

  • 1 can pre-made biscuits*
  • olive oil spray
  • everything but the bagel seasoning, garlic salt, black sesame seeds for topping

FOR THE BUFFALO CHICKEN FILLING

FOR THE SPINACH ARTICHOKE FILLING

FOR THE JALAPEÑO POPPER FILLING

Instructions

  • Split each biscuit into 2 pieces - there should be an obvious breaking point in the middle of each biscuit.
  • Prepare each filling by combining the ingredients for each flavor in separate bowls. As written the recipe makes 4 biscuit bites of each flavor. You can also double, triple or quadruple the measurements of your favorite flavor.
  • Gently stretch the biscuit dough out so it is slightly larger and flatter. Spoon 1 tbsp of filling into the center of each piece of dough and fold it over. Pinch the sides together to close the filling inside the dough - it is ok if a little filling spills out. Place on a baking sheet.
  • Once all of your bites are done, spray them with olive oil and sprinkle with toppings. I used garlic salt on the buffalo chicken, everything but the bagel seasoning on the jalapeño popper and black sesame seeds on the spinach artichoke.
  • Spray the air fryer basket with olive oil and place the bites inside with some space between each one - work in batches if needed.
  • Cook in the air fryer at 350 degrees for 6-7 minutes. Remove and serve immediately.

Notes

*I used Annie's brand, but be sure to check the ingredients since many brands use dairy. Most biscuit cans come with 8 biscuits (so 16 bites). Since the recipe is only written for 12 bites, you can double the ingredients for one of the flavor fillings to use all 8 biscuits. You can also reserve the leftover biscuits and use them for something else.
**I used chive-flavored vegan cream cheese for all 3 fillings.
***TO BAKE: Preheat oven to 350 degree. Place biscuit bites on a baking sheet and cook for 16-19 minutes, or until crispy and brown.
****TO FREEZE: Place leftovers in an airtight container and place in the freezer. To reheat, thaw then place in the air fryer at 350 for 4-5 minutes.
