Preheat the oven to 425 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Place the dough on a lightly floured surface and allow to come to room temperature for 30 minutes.
Cut the dough in half. Roll out one half of the dough until it is roughly the size of your baking sheet. Place on the prepared baking sheet. Roll out the other half of dough so its is about the same size. Gently place on top of the other piece of dough.
Use a sharp knife to cut the dough into a triangle. Gently remove the top piece of dough. Add the pesto to the bottom piece of dough and spread it to the edges. Place the other piece of dough back on top.
Starting at the bottom, cut 1" strips on each side of the tree, leaving about 1" of dough intact down the center. Twist the strips. (See photos).
Combine the melted butter, a pinch of garlic powder & garlic salt and the parsley in a small bowl. Brush it over the tree. Place in the oven and bake for 20 minutes.
Remove from the oven, top with vegan parmesan, more parsley, basil & flakey salt and serve with warm marinara on the side.
