  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Spread the tater tots in an even layer on the baking sheet and cook according to the package instructions (see notes).
  • While the tots are cooking, add all of the other ingredients to a large mixing bowl. Stir until combined, taste and adjust the seasonings if needed. Place in the fridge.
  • Pull the tater tots out of the oven and use a flat object to smash them - you can use a thick glass cup, measuring cup or even place another baking sheet on top of the tots.
  • Add the smashed tots to the mixing bowl with the dressing and toss to combine. Serve right away (see notes).

Notes

  • My tater tot bag said to cook them for 20 minutes. I ended up cooking them for 30 to make sure they were extra crispy!
  • This is best served right away - if you put it in the fridge the tots will get soggy and absorb the dressing.
