Add the olive oil through the chickpeas to a large bowl and toss to combine. Taste and adjust the dressing seasonings. Cover and place in the fridge to marinate for 20 minutes.
Meanwhile, cook the orzo according to the package instructions. Drain and rinse with cold water.
Add the cooled pasta and remaining ingredients to the bowl with the chickpeas. Toss to combine. Taste and adjust seasonings as needed.
Serve chilled or at room temperature with fresh basil on top.
